To Bali...to bali ...with my oink oink...

The beginning of the year started off with a holiday with my love to Bali..A long awaited holiday :) Ill leave you with some pics for now..






There is a whole lot of stuff going on now, and my schedule is packed with loads of things to do. A whole lot of new things that im gonna have to get used to or learn something new. Exciting but also tiring at this time.



The wedding planning is falling into place although its still i long long way to go..But i cant help being excited for myself :P I guess i need to start working out or else im gonna look like a bak chang in my wedding dress...



On the same topic...why do people think they are gonna get invited just because you know us?? or better still invite your self..sigh...im sorry but i have to put it down here that some of you are gonna get disappointed as we cant afford to invite the whole world!

StrippedSteph goes to Capetown-Day 2

On Day 2 was the hardcore sight seeing day, we were up early to grab some breakfast at the hotel and then off on an adventure!

First stop was to see the otters or sea lions (ok i forgot!!), when we reached there the boat wasnt ready to go, so us being us went shopping at the bazzar which was located alongside all the boats. The stuff there was pretty expensive and was hardly a bargain, but i still managed to get a pair of giraffes and an elephant for my mum :)

So off on the boat we went to see the animals :P



Once we were done with that we went off to Cape Point the most southern part of Capetown. We stopped by a few places to grab some pics..






I so wish we have enuf cash to hire a photographer, get plane tickets for 3 people and accommodation for us to take our wedding pics in Capetown!!! Anyone wanna sponsor??? Lol ok i know my blog isnt popular at all..but i guess mikeyip.com beats my stats anytime...so we'lll advertise u there :P LOL

StrippedSteph goes to Capetown - Day 1

Ok im back with another one of my travel trips...and this this its off to Capetown,South Africa. I really dint know what to expect when i got there. I kinda guess it was like Johannesburg and kinda decided that i wont be going out too much but boy was i wrong..

Let me show u some pictures to see what im talking bout :)






The whole bunch of us went up Table Mountain when it was bout sunset cuz we had a tip that it was 50% off..and being the stingy people that we are decided to go then to save money.

But being up on Table mountain during sunset is probabaly the best time to go there as the sun is setting and the view is magnificant!! Well worth you 50% discounted ticket!! Actually i think they should charge full price or even more!!


The thing to take note bout Table mountain is that the weather up there changes quite fast. It can be nice n warm then chilly the next minute! Before you go up to table mountain do look out for the weather, cuz once the mist covers the mountain there is nothing much that you can see.


Btw, we stayed at the Southern Cullinan..here is the pic of the room.. (The drinks there r cheap too!! A few of us drank ourselves silly that night!:P)


So that bout all we did for Day 1 in Capetown,besides haveing steak for dinner...Did i mention that if you ever go to Capetown to buy Pinotage Red Wine!!! Its lovely and you cant get it anywhere else..Im so tempted to go back there n get a a crate or so for the wedding :)

Happy New Year!

So its the end of the year again,and no im not going to party as im gonna be at home with my darling...The company is sending me to Hong Kong..SIENZZZZ

Went back to Port Dickson for a few days and spend some time with my family and relatives. Also did a lot of wedding planning.

On that topic, geez all my plans are out of the window...Whatever i planned for it to be is now turnes 360 degrees around. Deco change,dress change,makeup change...Thank god the wedding is like still a long way to go.

I must say im super excited to start planning it from the start again. :) Old theme color out the window, time to think of a new one.. The $$$$ involved is crazy i tell u!!

Anyways, i hope 2010 brings you good fortune and health and happiness...I certainly hope all goes well for us as a lot of things are riding on next year and how everything goes :)

Wedding news!

As most of you would have read on the blog, IM ENGAGED!! That means a wedding is in order..

Before you guys start asking me when is the big day, you've heard it here that there has been no dates yet as we've got somethings to work on before we can settle on a date...

So as soon as i got that ring on my finger (ok actually even before that ) i already started planning our wedding. You know you can finally put down into writing what you always wanted since you were a little gal and know what some of it might actually become reality.

Funny tough that all my planning has been about the church mass as well as the reception. Searching for my ultimate wedding dress has not been on my mind tough ive been looking thru some magazines. I guess u guys think im crazy for not thinking of my dress yet!!


Anyways after thinking and thinking of how im going to arrange and coordinate everything from Singapore as the wedding would be held in Malaysia (Yes we have decided its gonna be in Malaysia!), i became overwhelmed with the amount of trips and phone calls back to Malaysia that would have to be made in order to pull the wedding off.

Yup most of you would think that thats what we have family for, but i brought up with the idea that my wedding should be done by my hubby and I. Anyways i would want to let my parents as well as my future in-laws enjoy the wedding rather than run around.


So thats when i decided, with Mike's input to get a wedding planner!!! :) (I guess i solves most problems!)

So off i went calling up planners and talking to them on the phone to get a feel of what they were like. The first one i called up was extremly professinal, listening to my details and even asking me to consult other wedding planners before deciding on one. The other one i called up just asked me for my email add n said she would send me a qoutation.End of Story. So at the moment, i have decided on my wedding planner :)



At least i would have someone do all the work for me, at a reasonable price and save me from all the headache!!!

Ill end on this note : Weddings are not cheap leh...Start saving money from now! Especially if you fotting the bills your self. One of the high end videographers qouted me rm18,888 for videography only!!! I think im gonna eat grass from now on!

Travel Tips from StrippedSteph

Since it travel quite abit, i thought i'd list down some tips so that you wont be as bad as i was n had to learn the hard way (N basically wasted some money along the way)

1. Always always always moisturize on the plane, trust me the air is so so so so so dry that your skin will become so dry that u will start to itch and if its really bad you will scratch until it bleeds! (This is more so for long haul flights)

2. If you wanna use the bathroom in the plane and dont wanna que, please go either before u have your meals, cuz after meals everyone is gonna be lining up to use the few toilets that are available and basically u are gonna end up with a messy toilet. (Then again you have gotta time is correctly or else your gonna miss ur food!)

3. When chnaging currency, just change enough or what you think would be enough with a little to spare an charge the rest to your debit or credit card esp for hotel rooms and buying of items such as branded goods. You will have a better exchnage rate. (Tried and tested!)

4. And if u dont already know by now, you can clain VAT or TAX when buying branded goods :) Save $$$, just let the cashier know so they will prepare the proper documents.

And the last tip for today..

5. Please check the weather or keep track of the weather before you go to the destination and pack all clothing necessary. Esp in winter. For those of you who feel chilly easily do remeber that sometimes summer is also quite chilly in Europe and also in NZ and Aussie (during the early parts of summer). Dont be so gung ho, as you wont enjoy urself..

The princess and the frog!

I know im gonna get scolded for doing this cuz he doesnt like me to think bout my past, but here i am gonna tell u bout my first kiss! Im a sucker for Disney animation and i wanna go see the Princess and The Frog!

I had always dreamt of those fairy tale first kisses but instead mine was right from a horror flim.No names will be mentioned here.And for those who know please dont even mention it.

My first kiss from frm this guy who "bought" (it was a recycled gift!) me a chain with a pendant and demanded that if i wanted the gift, that i had to kiss him! I ended up decling (I dint like him tat much) as i wanted my first kiss to be special! But this dude didnt know how to take no for an answer and basically kissed me and one of my parent's frens almost saw him doing it!

So yea there it went my first kiss, gone to a person i didnt wana kiss! I never wanted to count tat as my first kiss tough.It was plain YUCKS!!!

So now tat the first kiss is over and done n can never be taken back, i can only wish it was how it was like in those Disney flims like the Princess and The Frog. And watching the trailer below
